The Train

The first baby train was introduced in 1931 to service country areas. By 1949 there were three trains servicing the York Penninsula, Murray, Mallee and upper South East. In 1970 nurses started traveling across the Nullabor on the Tea and Sugar train.

Home and Clinic Visits

An important part of the service offered by the organisation is visits to mothers homes after their babies are born and clinics run in regional areas. To get where needed, the organisation has used many means of transport over the years from bicycles to especially equipped vans.
