The WCH Foundation Incorporated was established in 1989 by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital as the principal charity for the Hospital.
The purpose of the Foundation is to support the healthcare of the women and children of South Australia, including research into the cause, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of any condition that may affect the children of South Australia. Each year the WCH Foundation disburses approximately $1,000,000 in research grants.
The MS McLeod Research Fund is part of the WCH Foundation Research Fund. Established by a bequest from the estate of Murdoch Stanley McLeod, the purpose of this fund is to support in perpetuity paediatric research.
Medical Postgraduate Scholarship
Eligibility: MBBS or equivalent, eligible to enrol in Masters by Research or PhD at a South Australian University
Duration: 3 years with possible 6 month extension
- Up to two awards will be offered at any one time
Value: $60000 per annum, plus a $5000 allowance for national / international presentations of the research
Eligibility: Graduates with appropriate nursing/ health sciences degree, must study in a WCHN Paediatric Department and eligible to enrol in Masters by Research or PhD at a South Australian University
Duration: 3 years with possible 6 month extension

Value: $25000 per annum
