The Matthew Scriver Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurses Scholarship was established in 2006, in memory of Matthew Scriver. The Scholarship supports research initiatives by nurses working in PICU, either as PICU nurses or nurses appointed in other areas of CYWHS who are working with children and their families who are admitted to PICU. All types of research projects may be supported by the Scholarship, and in particular research focused on holistic and/or psychosocial care of children and their families who are admitted as long stay PICU patients.
The Scholarship stipend is $2000 and is offered annually.
Applicants are required to refer to the conditions of the award before completing the application form. The successful applicant will be required to enter into a contract for the duration of the award.
