Pathology Collection Service

The Pathology Collection Service provides a service for inpatients and outpatients and collects samples for diagnostic testing including 

• blood
• urine
• faeces
• sweat
• nasopharyngeal aspirates
• swabs
• mycology collections.

Methods of collection vary and collections are performed with parental support at all times.

How to access the service

Appointments are required for some specialised tests. Please phone the service to clarify whether an appointment is required.

Most laboratory tests are ordered by the medical staff on a standard laboratory request form.

Information for families

Generally there is no preparation required for collections performed in the Pathology Collection Services.

Weekdays 8am - 5pm

Saturday 830am -1130am
