Eastern Community Team (Northern CAMHS)

CAMHS Eastern Team provide a range of therapeutic counselling services for children and adolescents between birth and 18 years of age and their families.

CAMHS Eastern Community Team services include

  • consultation and assessment
  • individual and family counselling
  • group work
  • workshops
  • liaison with other service agencies and schools.

CAMHS Eastern Community Team is staffed by

  • Clinical Psychologists
  • Community Nurses
  • Social Workers
  • Speech Pathologist
  • Psychiatrists

Our team provides mental health services to people who live in the eastern and north-eastern regions of Adelaide. The region covers the local government areas of

  • Campbelltown
  • Tea Tree Gully
  • Prospect
  • Walkerville
  • Adelaide
  • Burnside
  • Unley
  • Norwood
  • Payneham
  • Saint Peters
  • parts of Salisbury and Port Adelaide-Enfield

If you are uncertain which CAMHS region to contact please call our reception staff who will be happy to assist you.

Our Region also provides a range of services for young offenders in secure care centres

We appreciate feedback from consumers and carers.

How to Access Our Service

Parents and guardians may telephone or visit the CAMHS service closest to them.  Adolescents over 16 years of age may contact CAMHS without parent or guardian consent or knowledge.  School Counsellors, General Practitioners and others may also contact CAMHS however contact from the parent/guardian or young person (if over 16 years of age) is usually required to formalise the referral.

The  Eastern Team's main office is situated at 5 Darley Road, Paradise and is accessible by public transport. Our workers also provide outreach services at the Tea Tree Gully Community Health Centre and Enfield FAYS.

Hours

Monday to Friday 9am -5 pm. After hours appointments by arrangement
