School Counsellors, General Practitioners and other service providers may also contact CAMHS however contact from the parent/guardian or young person (if over 16 years of age) is usually required to formalise the referral.

The main office is in Dale Street Port Adelaide, which is easily reached by public transport. Outreach services are provided from the Parks Community Health Service with appointments available all day Wednesdays and Thursdays and at other times during the week through negotiation. In Port Adelaide speech pathology outreach services are provided at the Kera Yerlo Aboriginal Child Care Centre once a fortnight.

Services are provided free of charge and an initial consultation appointment is arranged as soon as possible to discuss parents or young peoples concerns and determine the level and type of service that might be required to address these concerns
