Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology

The Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology offers services to children with primary immunodeficiencies and complex and/or serious allergic conditions such as anaphylaxis, multiple or complex food allergy, severe eczema, drug allergy stinging insect allergy and those children requiring immunotherapy. Both inpatient and outpatient services are offered and includes the following:

• Intravenous Immunoglobulin Clinic
• Specialist Immunisation Service

In addition to these clinical services members of the Department are actively involved in various research activities and provide educational services to the broader medical community.

The department is located at the WCH campus and is staffed by consultants, nursing staff and dietitians.

How to access the service

Referrals

With the exception of the Adrenaline Auto-injector Clinic, children must have a referral by a medical practitioner before an appointment can be made.
