Intra-operative MEP Monitoring: Case Example

Initial peripheral EMG responses were contaminated with severe 50Hz artefact.

This was traced to a syringe pump connected to mains which had been inadvertently fixed to the same pole as the patient interface box.

With the syringe pump removed, recordings were much improved (lower trace).
