Pulmonary MedicineThe Department of Pulmonary Medicine is the only respiratory health and disease tertiary referral centre for children (aged 0-18 years), with respiratory disease in SA and extends to the Northern Territory. We specialise in assessing and treating children with all types of respiratory disease and provide specialised lung function testing. We run the only specialised children's lung function laboratory in SA. The laboratory also provides detailed respiratory provocation services which include histamine and exercise challenges. Our bronchoscopy service for children utilises both flexible and rigid bronchoscopes, with most procedures done under general anaesthetic. Specific clinical services include:
