Women's Admissions/Reception

The Women's Reception and Admissions desk is located on the ground floor of the Queen Victoria Building (map) and may be accessed either through the main Queen Victoria Building Entrance or the Women's Assessment entrance.

If you come to the WCH for same day or inpatient treatment as either a public or private patient you will come to Women's Admissions when you first arrive at the hospital.  Admissions is staffed  between  8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Women's Reception is open Monday-Friday 7am to 8.30pm and weekends 9am to 8.30pm.

Reception staff can give directions to visitors for women and neonatal inpatients, receive payment for private telephone calls made from your bedside telephone during your stay and can arrange inpatient television hire.

For information regarding private obstetricians who deliver babies at the WCH please ring (08) 8161 7508.

When you come to Admissions, please bring  your Medicare card and private health insurance details if applicable.
