After Hours Support

After hours the management of the WCH is in the hands of a senior registered nurse – the Hospital Coordinator (After Hours). The Hospital Coordinator (After Hours): 

• provides resources to facilitate safe and cost effective patient care and customer service provision
• undertakes the role of emergency executive 
• coordinates patient care services and general hospital activities across all WCH Divisions.

They also undertake to look after other hospital responsibilities that are not serviced after hours. They maintain a close liaison with the Hospital Executive, on call social worker, Corporate & Community Relations Department for media enquiries, organise emergency transport requirements and any other areas that may need to be attended to.
