Trainee Medical Officer positions for 2010The Children, Youth and Women’s Health Service, Women’s and Children’s Hospital campus is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia, and Flinders University. Through education, research and its continual quest for excellence in health care, the Women’s and Children’s Hospital recognises and is dedicated to the health and well being of women and babies, children and young people in South Australia and beyond. Applications are now being sought for a range of Trainee Medical Officer (TMO) positions in Paediatric Medicine, Paediatric Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. These positions include Paediatric basic trainee, Paediatric advanced trainee, Fellow positions and Registrars / Senior Registrars in Obstetrics & Gynaecology non-accredited positions. Offers to successful applicants for TMO positions will be made for 1-2 years commencing 3 February 2010. As an employee of SA Health, salary packaging options of up to $9095 pa are available, 1 week’s professional development leave, 1 week exam leave which can be used for professional development purposes, along with a professional development allowance of up to $7000 pa. Award hours for TMOs are 38 hours per week. The salary range (at 14-4-2010) is $69,630 - $103,909, this is the base rate and does not include applicable shift penalties and overtime etc. Employer superannuation is in addition to these amounts.
