Overseas Trained Specialists or Specialists in Training wishing to undertake a short period of specified training will require registration by the Medical Board of Australia. CYWHS will seek advice from the relevant specialist medical college. The colleges will provide advice on whether the position is a suitable training position and whether the training program is suitable for the applicant. The MBA in determining eligibility for registration may wish the applicant to state an intention to return to their country at the completion of the training program.
