Children & Families Integration Service

The Children and Families Integration Service (CFIS) is an initiative of the WCH which aims to improve the long-term health and social well being of children and families.

The Service was established in 2001 with the amalgamation of three programs, the Parenting Network in the western suburbs, Kids 'n' You in Elizabeth Park and the Fatherhhood Support Program. These services assist families living in the north west suburbs that have been identified as needing additional parenting support. Recently the Corner House in the southern region has been added to to the Service.

CFIS staff work with parents and children with a specific focus on strengthening parenting, increasing attachment and bonding andrebuilding child parent relationships that have been damaged by eitherwitnessing or being a part of family violence. An important focus is collaboration with other community based service providers.
