The outline should be a brief summary of the department/service. Its purpose is to allow the reader to decide whether this is the page they are looking for.
The outline should be 200 words or less, and written in several paragraphs to make reading easier. Dot points can be used to help reduce the density of the outline. To expand the amount of information use links rather than ‘crowding’ the outline section.
Include here relevant information about accessing the service eg How to make an appointment etc
The Information for Families section should include any additional information for parents/families/patients regarding the service. The information for families topics should be presented as a list of links. There will be a general section about Hospital services. Only include general things that are very pertinent to the Service/Department.
Some examples are:
The forms section should contain a list of forms/other paperwork that can be downloaded, and completed at home. Only forms that are up-to-date and relevant should be included.
We envisage resources as being more directed toward health professionals – though this should not preclude patients and families. The resources should be presented as a list of links.
Some examples of resources are:
The days should be written first and the times second. The days and times should fall into columns, to make them easy to read.
