The Women's and Children's Hospital is located on the traditional lands for the Kaurna people, and we respect their spiritual relationship with their Country. We also acknowledge that the Kaurna people are the custodians of the Adelaide region, and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of people who have passed away.

Donating Christmas Presents to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital

Christmas donations 2021

For children and young people, the festive season is a particularly tough time to be in hospital.

At the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, we do all we can to bring the spirit of the season to all our patients and we are immensely grateful for the generosity shown to our patients each year.

The easiest way to donate presents is via our online gift website:

Simply purchase the gifts online and they will be sent to us at the hospital. Please order early to ensure delivery by Christmas.

If you are thinking of delivering presents to the hospital, please note our process has changed. Please follow these new guidelines below to ensure our COVID-19 precautions are maintained.

Safety and wrapping

Due to safety protocols, all presents must be brand new and unwrapped.

This allows us to assess suitability and ensures your present gets to the right patient.

See below for gift suggestions from our staff. As most of our patients are with us to recover, we ask that gifts can be used while in a hospital bed and that toys with small parts are avoided to reduce the risk of choking.

Please go to our general Gifts and Donations page to view our safety guidelines:
