Radiation is used in many ways throughout SA Medical Imaging (SAMI). The WCH is committed to ensuring that this radiation is used safely and in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Each area that uses radiation is overseen by a Radiation Safety Officer. All staff using radiation hold a license to use radiation and have had appropriate training.

SAMI's Radiation Safety Officer provides expert advice on radiation safety and radiation exposure. The Radiation Safety Officer provides training courses for users of radiation within the Hospital.
