Antenatal Education
At the Women's and Children's Hospital we offer a range of free antenatal education (Medicare Eligible) and support to mothers who are planning to birth with us.
COVID-19 or Coronavirus has been declared a global pandemic, and the Women's and Children's Health Network is doing everything in its power to ensure the safety of our staff and consumers.
For women who are birthing at another South Australian hospital, please contact your birthing hospital for more information about the support provided at each individual site.
We encourage all women and their partners, support persons and families to be actively involved in their pregnancy, birth and postnatal care. Every pregnancy is a unique experience and we look forward to providing you with the very best care during this special time.
The sessions are also open to private patients if they are booked to birth at WCH. You will need a WCH hospital record number to complete the booking process.
We recommend parents begin education from around week 32 of pregnancy. Sessions can fill quickly, so book in early to avoid missing out.
